"Free Onsite Coral Reef Naturalist Program," Pacific Whale Foundation, Wailea's Ulua Beach

Learn the names of the fish you've seen while snorkeling with the help of a knowledgeable Pacific Whale Foundation naturalist at Pacific Whale Foundation's free Coral Reef Information Station. A great place to visit if you're new to snorkeling in Hawaii. Learn how you can help protect the reef as you explore it! Sponsored by the Hawaii Tourism Authority. "Garden Tours," Maui Nui Botanical Gardens, Kahului

Mon, Tue and Fri 10:00 am to 11:30 am, enjoy a volunteer lead tour of Maui Nui Botanical Gardens (150 Kanaloa Avenue, Kahului). Tours cover the natural history, conservation and ethnobotanical uses of native Hawaiian and Polynesian introduced plants as well as the Gardens' projects in these areas. "Pilale Bay and Halehaku Stream Exploration," Sierra Club Maui, Haiku

In honor of National Trails Day, a three to four mile varied terrain hike along a valley floor and streams discovering and documenting Hawaiian village remains for neighborhood history project. "Na Kamehameha Pa`u Parade & Ho`olaule`a," Lahaina

A colorful floral parade through LahainaTown at 10 am features Pa`u riders on horses decorated with exotic island flowers representing each major island. The community parade includes marching bands, floats and more, all honoring King Kamehameha the Great's families. An awards ceremony and arts festival take place at Banyan Tree Park with island food and crafts, pa`u dressing and riding demonstrations, plus Hawaiian entertainment. Free admission; 9am to 5pm.

Pacific Whale Foundation’s marine educators invite the public to meet some of the fascinating creatures that roam Hawaii’s tidepools at night. This discovery event is recommended for people ages 6 and over. Participants are asked to wear sturdy shoes and bring a flashlight. Please no slippers/flip flops. Refreshments will be provided. We will meet at the Public Beach Access on the south side of the Mana Kai resort in South Kihei (just past the Kihei boat ramp); there is a sign that reads "Public Beach Access."
